ABOUT ARUSHA

Arusha is a medium sized city located in Northwest Tanzania at the base of Mt Meru and about 100kms from Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Arusha is the gateway to The Serengeti National Park, the largest and most impressive game reserve in Africa, as well as the Ngorongoro Crater, which is one of the most pristine and spectacular sights in Tanzania.

Arusha also offers a wide range of restaurants with a decent selection of western and local food. There are many small supermarkets and one very large supermarket where you can find pretty much anything you might need. You can easily get around town on the local transport, dala dala, but there are also a vast number of taxis that can take you anywhere you need to go. Arusha also has a movie theatre, some nice bars/pubs and a very comfortable climate.

SAFARI

While you are in the area it is well worth taking a safari to The Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater to see some of the world's most beautiful scenery and spectacular wildlife.

If you would like more information or price details we recommend you contact African Scenic Safaris. They are a reputable company that offer reasonably priced, quality safaris and can arrange a trip to suit your needs and budget. African Scenic Safaris can also provide information about climbing Mt Kilimanjaro or Mt Meru (pictured).
